My name is Suzana Muller, and my journey in technology began in 1999 when I joined VTLS Inc., a library implementation systems company. From the very first day, I knew I had found my calling — helping people put technology to work for a purpose.

Over the years I built a career full of rich, hands-on experience. I provided technology sales and support at Staples in Roanoke, Virginia for several years, giving me a deep appreciation for helping everyday people find the right tools for their needs. I also provided technology support for L'Oréal stores across the United States, Canada, and Mexico through NewBold Corporation, when it was located in Rocky Mount, Virginia, and later moved into software support with PowerSchool. Each role deepened my appreciation for something I truly love: sitting down with someone who has a problem, having a real conversation, and finding the right solution together.

That might mean helping someone choose the right laptop or tablet. It might mean getting a phone synced with a smartwatch, or a TV talking to a tablet. It could be setting up a home network, making sense of Microsoft Office, or exploring how AI tools can make everyday work easier. Whatever the challenge, I bring patience, experience, and genuine enthusiasm to every single one.

This business carries a special meaning close to my heart. I have been proud to call the Smith Mountain Lake area of Franklin County, Virginia home for over 26 years. This region is beautiful — with its stunning Smith Mountain Lake, the winding Roanoke River in my backyard, and all the wildlife and natural surroundings. It is the inspiration behind the SML Computer and Web Help logo and the name of the business entity.

In this area I dared to explore technology, learned from it and found my calling. I can relate to the frustration you feel when you need to use a device or an app and it does not work. I also know that having a person you can ask questions and get explanations you can understand is key to staying productive. You do not have to start research projects even if you like digging in — most of us have other things to do and would rather just ask a question.
